Cities, Urban Infrastructure and Population Minister Alan Tudge has indicated that South Australia will receive a greater number of migrants under a new policy to attract immigrants to regional areas.
“Now the South Australian Premier, I’ve spoken to him, he wants to significantly grow South Australia from a population perspective, and including using migration as a lever, so we’re working with him, as we are with the Chief Minister of the Northern Territory, as we are with other premiers and chief ministers,” Mr Tudge told Sky News.
An increasing population will see greater demand for housing, particularly in Adelaide's growing fringe suburbs. While the policy is only in its early stages, we see this as an opportunity for investors seeking to take advantage of long-term growth prospects in more affordable suburbs.
